TCR CONTESTS FOR SEPTEMBER 2025 - Saturday

Here are the contests we have planned for Sod Blaster 2025:

The overall theme for this year is “Race for the Moon”.  We are teaming up with the Washington Aerospace Club to hold Moonliner and other related contests on Saturday.  Please see the contest information from WAC for the Moonliner themed contests.

Since the first moon landing occurred in 1969, TCR is holding two altitude contests: any rocket, any motor, closest altitude to 1969 feet and 1969 meters (6460 feet) wins a $50 gift certificate.  The contests start Saturday at 9:00 am and run until 5:00 pm.  You must sign up on the contest entry sheets ahead of time and present the altimeter data to the contest coordinator after flying.  The rocket also must have a nominal flight and be returned for inspection prior to the contest end.

We are also holding a “Shoot for the Moon: Max G Force” contest: any rocket, any commercial G impulse motor, highest altitude wins a $50 gift certificate.  Same other rules as above apply.
